On the 1st of April, six researchers of different labs of the Rega Institute volunteered to pick up trash over their lunch break. This was organized with a social distance-safe buddy system. In just half an hour the 3 teams picked up quite a lot of trash.
Team 1 never made it further than the Rega bike parking, since they were stuck picking cigarette buds. Team 2 did a tour around the Rega and ON4, and filled a whole bag with big pieces of trash. Team 3 descended the GHB hill, but never made it further than the GHB campus. They filled two bags with trash! Afterwards, all trash bags were compiled and properly discarded.
Overall, the first trash walk was a success and we will organize to do this every first working day of the month! Next trash walk: Monday 3d of May 2021.
